There’s no rest for the wicked, even those with word counts as pleasingly round as mine. And as much as I love seeing that NaNoWriMo widget in my sidebar, with its cheerful 100%, it’s time to move on to the next ambitiously foolish endeavor I can imagine for myself. So there’s a new widget in the neighborhood: a RSS feed from my Goodreads.com blog, Tiny Charms, which starts today.
Tiny Charms is the reading little sister to Small Wonders the writer. As I explain in my first post there, I have accumulated a staggering backlog of books to read. So many that it could take me a year to get through them all. So that’s what I’m going to do. My early New Year’s resolution is to wind my way through every unread book I own and, no doubt, several I do not yet own. I will, naturally, blog the entire process. This will serve the dual purpose of telling others about the books I’m reading and reassuring my friends and loved ones that, despite not emerging from my room for days on end, I have not actually slipped into a book-induced coma.
I invite my readers here to follow Booking It in the New Year. It’s going to be a good year for words.
