After last night’s free writing, I had a picture of what I wanted to be doing. So I went to bed with the story in my mind and said unto my Muse, wanna play? The answer was a resounding yes. I sort of drifted, half asleep and listening to Neil Gaiman audio books, and watched the Muse bring out her toys. And I woke up with a solid story idea, basic sketch of a plot, and some neat world building. I still have some details to work out, so I’m going to do the same thing tonight.
That’s assuming I can stay even remotely awake for that long. BIG horse show today. Didn’t make it into the top ten, even for our age division, but our mare, who’s never been to a show this big before, was really, really good. It was all a huge success. Feeling proud and exhausted.
Tomorrow, I’m going to Crispin Freeman’s anime mythology seminar. It’s all about female myths in America and Japan, especially the differences between the fairytale princess and the magical girl models. I am SO EXCITED! Will report back on the awesomeness.
