3621 words in one day!

Take that, word count! Deficit gone, story on track, ready to tackle the mid-season turning point. Oh, yeah, I win. And I am two scenes away from finishing an awesome special episode, Topaz-flavored. Very cool to write, neat little surprises for me, some delicious foreshadowing. Completely worth the part where I spent the day chained to the computer.

In a comment I received, I was directed to New Writing Media, an intriguing site for various new media storytelling ventures, including blog-serialized novels. I’ve signed up (my profile is here), but I’ve only giving it a cursory glance. I like what I see so far, though I am put off by the blogging tools. It’s not that there is anything wrong with the tools; I just feel obligated to use them when they are there. Goodreads has a blog option for authors as well. And the truth is, I am intensely proud of myself for managing to keep one blog going. So my usage of NWM may be limited until I figure out how to get something out of it without making myself crazy.
