Joyce Sully believes in magic and dragons and ghosts, but is not convinced her next-door neighbors are real. So she writes stories. Really, what else could she do?

Joyce writes short stories and novels, songs and poems, scripts and instructions to feed the cat if she stays out late. She always thought she was a fantasy writer. Then she started writing romance and LGBT erotica. But hey, it was still fantasy settings. No problem. Then she started having these ideas–about nanotechnology and space stations and alien immigrants. So it turns out she writes science fiction, too. At that point, she decided labels only belong on her disorganized crates of paperwork and old clothing. Joyce writes things, mostly fun stuff, as much as she can.

All those ideas are sort of an issue for Joyce. She has too many of them and they’re not all about writing. She has ideas for hand-sewn plush toys and copper mobiles and stop-motion videos. So she decided the whole point of her life was to learn new things and mash them all together and make something wonderful.

Joyce lives in Southern California. She has been spotted as far afield as Seattle, but travel makes her nervous. She likes to crochet and cook and play video games. In an alternate reality, she raises and trains horses as part of the family business. She graduated from University of California, Irvine, and has been trying to figure out why ever since.
